OSHA investigates tree worker’s death on the job

James A. Bova, II, 38, of Watervliet, New York, died August 11, 2022, in Halfmoon, N.Y., as a result of a work-related tree-cutting accident, but few details of the incident were released.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has opened an investigation into the tree-service company Bova was working for at the time of the incident, “to determine whether or not there were any violations of workplace safety standards in connection with this worker’s death,” according to a timesunion.com report.
