Worker dies after accident and cardiac arrest

A man died while cutting a tree in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, October 25, 2022, after a branch hit his ladder, causing him to fall and dangle from a rope while 30 feet in the air. According to a New Castle News online report, the victim suffered cardiac arrest and was not breathing and did not have a pulse when rescuers reached him. He was taken to UPMC Jameson hospital and pronounced dead in the emergency room, according to the report.
