Worker dies in fall from bucket truck

A worker was thrown from a bucket and killed when a rope broke April 4, 2024, in Colonial Heights, Virginia. Charles William Sloan Jr., 47, of South Chesterfield, Va., was working in a bucket approximately 50 feet up when a rope he’d attached to a tree or tree section broke, causing him to be ejected from the bucket, according to an ABC 8News report.
