Two workers injured by electricity

Two public-works employees were injured January 9, 2025, in Waukegan, Illinois, when a truck’s crane boom came in contact with power lines. The two tree workers were part of a public-works crew working in the area when one of the trucks, equipped with a crane, touched a power line. The power line energized the truck, injuring the workers. One victim was taken to the hospital via a medical helicopter, and the other was transported by ambulance, according to an ABC 7 News report.
