A man was killed after being struck by a limb while aloft in a tree April 18, 2025, in Ghent, Minnesota. Miguel Antonio Ramirez-Monterroso, 42, of Marshall, Minn., was up in the tree helping to cut the tree when he was hit by a branch. People on the ground saw something was wrong and called 911. Firefighters brought him down from the tree, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a report in The Independent.
