Worker hurt in fall from bucket truck

A tree worker was seriously injured when he was knocked out of a bucket and fell to the ground July 22, 2025, in Leesburg, Alabama. Austin Hulsey, 27, was working with the owner of a tree care company, taking down a tree in sections using rigging. One of the sections fell onto the bucket, causing Hulsey to be ejected and to fall 30 to 40 feet to the ground. He was airlifted to a medical center and remained in a medically induced coma and on a ventilator at the time of a WEIS Radio report.
