Worker rescued after tree crashes into skid steer

A worker was rescued when a tree he was clearing fell through the windshield of his skid steer November 15, 2025, in Lawrence County, Tennessee. John Kress was clearing land when the skid steer started to fall forward and the tree fell through the windshield, pinning him inside. Co-workers were able to stabilize the skid steer, then fire and rescue personnel removed the windshield to get to Kress. Kress received minor injuries, according to a WSMV report.
