Climber dies after fall

A climber died after being seriously injured in a fall from a tree he was cutting August 30, 2024, in Sedgwick County, Kansas. Cody Trask of Cheney, Kan., was tied into a branch that broke. He fell about 20 feet and was pinned by the broken branch. Trask died of his injuries September 1, 2024, according to a KWCH 12 News report.
