A worker died after he was struck by a motor vehicle while performing traffic control for a tree company October 18, 2024, in Yawkey, West Virginia. Venancio Motta Santos, 44, of Shelbyville, Kentucky, was flagging for a tree company when he was struck by a pickup truck that failed to stop, according to a WCHS news report. Charges were filed against the driver of the pickup truck.
