The owner of a tree service died when he was thrown from the bucket of his aerial-lift truck April 28, 2023, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Michael Parker, 66, of Carlisle, Ark., was assisting with tornado cleanup when he attempted to lift a tree stump out of the backyard of a home using the boom of the lift. The victim’s son, John Parker, was working with his father and reported that when a rope from the bucket that had been tied around the stump broke, his father was thrown out and landed on the ground. The bucket was extended approximately 20 feet in the air at the time, according to a KATV news report.
