A man was injured in a struck-by October 16, 2023, in Leesburg, Alabama. The property owner reported that he was cutting a tree on his property when wind caused the tree to fall the wrong way. A 22-year-old man assisting the property owner was carrying a small log on his shoulder when he fell or was knocked backward, hitting his head on the concrete. The victim remained in critical condition in a local hospital, according to a WEIS Radio News report.
