Tree worker hurt in fatal wreck

A motorist was killed August 7, 2022, when the pickup truck he was driving collided with a tree service’s aerial-lift truck in Alexandria, Louisiana.

David Harris, 70, of Pineville, La., was killed in the collision that occurred in the southbound lane of the Pineville Expressway. The driver of the bucket truck was injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

A preliminary investigation indicates the pickup truck was headed in the wrong direction (northbound in southbound lane) on the bridge when it collided head-on with the bucket truck, according to a KALB Digital Team report.

Tree worker killed

A climber and foreman for a line-clearance company was killed on the job on June 2, 2020, in Maryland. The victim was Donald E. “DJ” Walker, Jr., 26, of Lonaconing, Maryland. No details related to the incident were provided in Walker’s obituary in The Cumberland Times-News, and no other published report was found on the incident.
