Worker killed in fall

A worker was killed when he fell from a tree he was cutting July 6, 2023, in China, Maine. Christopher Thwing, 35, of Athens, Maine, was cutting out the top of an oak tree when he cut through his safety line and was knocked or pulled to the ground by the falling branch. Thwing was wearing safety gear, according to a Portland Herald Press report.
