Worker killed in hit-and-run incident

A tree worker was killed when he was hit by a truck December 13, 2023, in Montgomery County, Maryland. Eric Lewis, 57, of Washington, D.C., was working with a crew along the Capital Beltway when he was hit by a large truck, which left the scene, according to a Washington Post report. The driver of the truck was later apprehended, according to the report.
