Tree faller killed in struck-by

A worker clearing land was killed by a falling tree on May 12, 2021, in Waterford, Maine.

Michael Truman, 50, of Harrison, Maine, was part of a crew with an excavation company clearing brush and falling trees. Harrison apparently cut a tree and the treetop detached and fell on him, hitting him in the head.

Truman was declared dead at the scene from traumatic head injuries, according to a WCSH 6 report.
