Worker seriously injured in hit-and-run

A Virginia Department of Transportation worker was seriously injured when he was struck by a car while removing a tree that had fallen across a road May 9, 2023, in Washington County, Virginia. The unidentified worker, age 58, was wearing a reflective vest at the time of the accident, according to a WDBJ7.com report. The driver was later found and charged, according to the report.
