Operator dies in lift bucket

An aerial-lift operator died after being found unconscious in the bucket while 40 feet in the air on a tree-trimming job on December 10, 2020, in Russiaville, Indiana.

It was unclear if William Lidy, 65, of Russiaville, had some type of accident or if he suffered a medical incident. An autopsy was planned, according to a Fort Wayne’s NBC report.
